Welcome to tradeability.ca

Welcome to tradeability.ca – Durham Region’s single point of access for information on the apprenticeship program and skilled trades. And if you’re not from Durham Region – we welcome you also! Much of this information will be valuable for you too, as the skilled trades are exceptional careers that are viable all throughout Canada.

Why a site devoted to skilled trades? Apprenticeship is one of the three respected pillars of post-secondary education – on a par with college and university.  Depending on you  - the type of person you are,  your life-long goals, and the type of contribution you want to make,  becoming a journeyperson in a skilled trade can be the gateway to a fulfilling life.

Why the name - ‘tradeability’? Tradespersons have ability and knowledge, and - by the time they’re certified – practical experience that allows them to take on some of the most essential skills in our society. Trades require the brightest and best candidates. ‘Tradeability’ honours this fact.
